Is Cultured marble cheaper than granite?

The beauty of cultured marble is that it is more economical (cheaper) than granite. Since granite is a natural stone and must be mined and passes through many “hands” in the process of reaching the homeowner (kitchen or bath), a natural premium ensues and drives up the cost of granite.

As with cultured marble, it is typically manufactured locally and installed by the same company which reduces the procurement process dramatically. 

This results in savings over natural stone, which is then passed on to you as the consumer.
